Fraizer Campbell was so excited by the prospect of making his Cardiff City debut against Leeds that he was up at 7am on Saturday morning. However, his claim that the return of Ivorian forward Gervinho ‑ the “best player” at the Africa Cup of Nations ‑ softened the blow of not boosting his attack in January might not be so readily accepted.
